Taylor Lautner and motorcycles: Does he or doesn't he?

Taylor LautnerMove over George Clooney and Harley-Davidson, a new heart throb in both actor and motorcycle is being promoted for an upcoming movie riding onto the big screen.

After becoming famous in the Twilight series, Taylor Lautner has long been the teen screen actor for the motorcycle world and Aprilia are very happy to point out he’s riding one of their bikes in his latest movie.

What could be billed as a coming of age movie meets Bourne Identity, Lautner stars as a young man unwittingly thrust into a deadly world of covert espionage in Lionsgate's action-thriller, ‘Abduction’, directed by John Singleton.

‘For as long as he can remember, Nathan Harper (Taylor Lautner) has had the uneasy feeling that he's living someone else's life. When he stumbles upon an image of himself as a little boy on a missing persons website, all of Nathan's darkest fears come true: he realizes his parents are not his own and his life is a lie, carefully fabricated to hide something more mysterious and dangerous than he could have ever imagined.

Just as he begins to piece together his true identity, Nathan is targeted by a team of trained killers, forcing him on the run with the only person he can trust, his neighbor, Karen (Lily Collins). Every second counts as Nathan and Karen race to evade an army of assassins and federal operatives. But as his opponents close in, Nathan realizes that the only way he'll survive – and solve the mystery of his elusive biological father – is to stop running and take matters into his own hands.’

In the movie, the wrestling loving popular high school rides an Aprilia Shiver 750 as well as a luxury BMW. The reason for all the vehicles?

Taylor discovers he's actually a missing child and goes on the run with classmate Karen (played by Lily Collins) to uncover his true identity.

But the Hollywood hype may be twisting its words over the promotion of this latest movie.

The role that made Lautner famous is a motorcycle loving werewolf (in a nutshell) and he has been featured in everything from teen magazines to a Rolling Stone interview professing his new found passion for riding.

But Lautner of Twilight and Rolling Stone, meet Lautner of Abduction;

"It was a legit street racing bike," Taylor told reporters about some of the action scenes from his latest movie, “And I'm not the biggest motorcycle fan—they're cool and a lot of fun, but they're scary as well!"

Abduction hits theaters on September 23rd and Aprilia’s Shiver 750 is in motorcycle showrooms right now.
