Suzuki teases more days for mysterious motorcycle
How do you keep a motorcycle enthusiast in suspense?
Come back later and we’ll tell you.
That seems to be the punch line for Suzuki. Throughout the week Japanese Motorcycle manufacturer has promised to reveal a new dual sport motorcycle, showing images of sweeping artistic strokes and open roads with a date of June 11th.
Go to the same website on June 11th and the same advertisement asks riders to return on June 15th.
This could well be part of the advertising campaign to build anticipation in the two-wheeled world. So far, the advertisement has brought nearly all of the major motorcycle websites and magazines into the guessing game of what ‘new adventures’ Suzuki is promising.
Many have pointed to the V-Strom model being updated and some have even alluded to a larger engine for the existing motorcycle.
Remaining mostly unchanged since the 650cc V-Strom was released in 2004, the promotion featured on the website as well as Suzuki’s recent update to its highly popular GSX-R model has the motorcycle world certainly guessing.
Power ranging anywhere from 800cc to 1000cc has been thrown out with the targeted competition being Triumph’s Tiger 800, BMW F800GS, KTM 990 or even BMW’s 1200GS.

Having the off-road ability appears to be a very good guess. An updated look to the distinctive V-Strom theme is also a pretty strong bet.
And not to say the motorcycle world has become slightly obsessed with the guessing game, some experts have determined the windshield could be adjustable, the new ride will feature a single exhaust (with a shroud) and what are clearly passenger grab-handles in the sketches.
Even if official pictures are released on June 15th, many riders will then set their countdown to the first opportunity of being able to poke, prod and event test ride the new motorcycle.
For those, we would suggest planning to attend the EICMA show in Milan this November.
