Star studded hotels for that motorcycle road trip
The debate is fierce among motorcycle enthusiasts, whether to sleep overnight in a hotel or take the more traditional route of camping.
Not only are the soft beds and fresh sheets an evil temptress for riders, but according to Orbitz and OK! Magazine, bikers could find themselves mingling with the rich and famous if they happen to stay at the one of the world's 10 most exclusive celebrity hotels where stars like Katy Perry, Ashton Kutcher, and Marissa Miller escape for the ultimate in luxurious vacations.
Just don’t expect them to roll up on two wheels and covered in layers of the last couple of hundred miles.
"OK! Magazine loves giving its readers a glimpse into the lives of the stars," says OK! Magazine's Features Editor, Eloise Parker. "The great thing about this particular collaboration with Orbitz is that we're showing them both the fabulous and the affordable."
From New York City to Los Angeles, star-struck travelers can now vacation like Angelina Jolie, Shia LaBeouf and even supermodel and biker, Marissa Miller. Whether they choose the celeb resort or its affordable match, fans will now know where to rub shoulders with the most fabulous of A-listers.
So where should riders try to book so they can look?
Sexy singer Katy Perry (pictured right in her latest photo-shoot for Esquire's UK Magazine) as well as an actor no stranger to motorcycles, Shia LaBeouf have both been recently seen at Hotel Gansevoort in New York.
Supermodel and Harley-Davidson spokesperson Marissa Miller (pictured Below) who has recently returned to riding was recently seen at the Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami. Not only is this stay on the way to Key West, a favored road trip for bikers, but country singer Carrie Underwood has also enjoyed the iconic hotel.
Have a trip taking you near Chicago? Check out the Peninsula Chicago Hotel, both Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp have, making for interesting people-watching at the end of a long day’s ride.
Not surprisingly, Playboy Bunny Holly Madison and tennis player Andy Roddick have spent time at Caesars Palace in Vegas (separately of course). For that final leg of the west coast road trip, the Andaz West Hollywood Hotel is a favorite for Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore and even Britain’s Prince William.
With prices for the famously seen hotels as high as $343 a night (Hotel Gansevoort, NY) and the bargain of $132 a night (Caesars Palace), the Orbitz and OK! Magazine article does come up with some more affordable alternatives.
"Every traveler wants to experience a little VIP luxury on vacation, no matter their budget," says Orbitz Insider Jeanenne Tornatore.

Hotels like Miami South Beach and Atlantis-Beach Tower offer rooms for around $157 a night, quite a bit less than Katy Perry’s preferred stay. Visitors to Vegas could look to the MGM Grand while those riding into Los Angeles could consider the Le Montrose Suite Hotel with all the alternative overnights saving as much as 66% over what the celebrities’ fork out.
"It's great to show consumers that a high-end, celebrity-like getaway is within reach, even on a budget," notes Tornatore.
