Although sexy supermodels and expensive perfumes may not leap to mind when motorcycles are mentioned, vintage bikes are at the heart of the advertising campaign from Chanel featuring British actress Keira Knightley.

First reported on Clutch and Chrome in September 2010, the commercial features a vivacious Knightley wrapped in a figure hugging beige cat suit adorned by a vintage style helmet and matching boots riding a vintage Ducati.

In the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance video, Knightley rides around Paris in skin-tight, Speed Racer-style suit stunting over stairs and leaving well-dressed French male bikers behind.

But before bikers look around at the next light for the latest addition of beauty to the riding community, we are sad to report Knightley’s appearance in the saddle was simply for the shooting of her latest Chanel advertisement and not from some new ignited passions.

The riding, stunts and motorcycle expertise from Keira was only a camera illusion helped by special effects. The Ducati pictured with Knightley on board was rigged with training wheels and towed during the shooting.

While riders may not see Knightley leaning into the curves anytime soon, at least we'll always have Paris.
