New motorcycle movie, the 'Fastest'

Fastest 001Motorcycle enthusiasts make room for an addition to that two-wheeled DVD collection.

The critically-acclaimed MotoGP documentary ‘Fastest’, narrated by Ewan McGregor and the follow up to the smash hit “Faster”, is set to release on DVD in the United States and Canada on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. The DVD will be available online at the FASTEST website for $29.95 along with casts for shipping and handling, and will include almost one hour of extras and behind-the-scenes footage.

The film received rave reviews by all who attended, and everyone was pumped to watch the thrills and drama of MotoGP unfold. In true cinematic fashion, ‘Fastest’is a maximum-speed, full-length film capturing the thrilling, and sometimes terrifying reality of MotoGP racing.

Coming from acclaimed filmmaker Mark Neale (“Faster,” “The Doctor, The Tornado and The Kentucky Kid.”), along with award-winning producer Paul Taublieb, the film charts Valentino Rossi’s quest for his eighth premier class championship as he battles back from a horrific, leg-shattering crash to take on a wave of ferociously fast young riders and the emerging stars of the sport, including Jorge Lorenzo, Ben Spies, Dani Pedrosa, Casey Stoner, as well as Marco Simoncelli, in whose memory ‘Fastest’ is now dedicated.

With unprecedented access and never-before-seen footage, ‘Fastest’ asks the question every rider, even the greatest of all time must face: who’s fastest now?

Never-before-seen footage in the almost one-hour of DVD extras include:

“Redneck Physics and Real Physics” with Colin Edwards and other MotoGP riders and insiders

“Yellow” a candid conversation with graphic designer Alberto Drudi and Kevin Schwanz about Rossi’s colors and inspiration for his helmet designs

The long version of the ‘Fastest’ trailer, including footage not seen in the movie

Other highlights include a go-kart battle between Rossi and his younger brother, an in-depth analysis of Rossi’s career and the M1 bike with Yamaha engineering legend Musao Furusawa, and former Playmate Lauren Vickers’ personal guide to the riders of MotoGP and the personalities of the paddock.

For those serious about their motorsports, a special bundle is also offered up which is promising to ‘thrill any MotoGP fan’.
