Multiple motorcycles for British Bikers
If the number of motorcycles in the garage is any sign, British bikers may be leading the pack for two wheeled enthusiasm.
According to a recent poll completed by a British Insurance company, Swinton Bike Insurance has seen an increase in the two motorcycle biker, as a survey reveals that 32% of motorcyclists across Britain own more than one bike.
The online survey of 1,200 Swinton motorcycle insurance customers, revealed that one in three motorcyclists own more than one bike, with riders preferring to have one to commute to work with and another to ride on weekends.
According to the survey, 65% of those surveyed were living for the weekend, and had a separate motorcycle just for use on Sundays. In addition, over 90% of those Sunday bikers surveyed had chosen their ride for a unique reason, with speed and style cited as essential criteria for any weekend ride.
With this being said, the insurance experts came up with the perfect list for that weekend motorcycle;
Harley Davidson CVO FAT BOB
Yamaha YZF R1
Honda CBR 1000RR Fireblade
Kawasaki ZX-10R
Ducati Hypermotard
KTM 690 Supermoto
BMW S1000RR
Triumph Rocket III Roadster
Aprilia 750 Dorsoduro
MV Agusta F4 1078RR 312
"It's great to see bikers with more than one motorcycle, as it means motorcyclists can experience the variety that riding has to offer,” Anthony Aronin, head of Swinton Bikes, said, “when thinking about insuring more than one bike Swinton has tailored insurance policies available."
