Motorcycle mall's grand groundbreaking
The city of Scottsdale Arizona may find its road to economic recovery already ridden by motorcycle enthusiasts and a colorful CEO.
Known for his humorous superbowl commercials with curvy female spokespersons, Bob Parsons may be best known for founding Go Daddy.com, but his passion for motorcycles has led him to create Go AZ, a dealership complex carrying a range of brands.
Looking to the future, Parsons' will be Arizona’s first-ever Motorcycle Mall in the Scottsdale Airpark. In true entrepreneurial style and with some two-wheeled style, the groundbreaking included motorcycle stunt riders throttling their way through airborne maneuvers, a fashion show and an on-site “bike and parts swap” along with the more traditional and obligatory dignitary shovels, architectural drawings and heavy construction equipment.
The new Motorcycle Mall is planned to be built over the next eight months and will cover 45,000 square feet, expanding the already established Go AZ Motorcycles facility at 15500 N. Hayden Rd. In addition to becoming a “destination location,” the project will provide a boost to the ailing construction industry because Go AZ Motorcycles is using all Ariz.-based contractors.
And when it comes to his motorcycle venture, Parsons is applying the same tried-and-true business principles that made his Internet company a world leader, great products, low prices and unrivaled customer service. The philosophy is already proving effective. Go AZ, now one of the biggest motorcycle dealerships in Ariz., has grown in spite of a significant dip in motorcycle sales nationwide.
"Go AZ isn't just a place to buy a motorcycle - it's a lifestyle destination," Parsons said. "The Valley needs a place where motorcycle enthusiasts can enjoy the full experience - whether it's trying new gear, sharing information, participating in events, meeting up with fellow bikers or just hanging out, this place has it all!"
Parsons' motorcycle passion fills every part of the successful businessmans life. Just last year a life size 'Ducati' cake was featured at his wedding which featured working lights, a smoking exhaust and motorcycle sounds. Modeled after Parson's very own Ducati streetfighter, it was created by Chef and TV star Duff Goldman seen on Food Network's Ace of Cakes.

But beyond the two-wheeled sweet tooth the founder of Go Daddy.com and Go AZ motorcycles, Parsons has taken his streefighter out for a 5,200 road trip.
“This is an exciting development for Scottsdale – it’s unlike anything else we have in the city and we think this will draw people from throughout the entire southwest,” said Mayor Lane speaking of the new motorcycle mega mall.
"Motorcycles are exciting," Parsons explained. "When you're on a motorcycle, you're on the edge; it makes you feel like a kid again, no matter how old you are. I think we're going to get Mayor Lane on two-wheels here yet today!"
