Disney star Mdot released from hospital after motorcycle accident
There was no confirmation whether it was Mickey or Donald pushing the wheelchair, but the young actor famous for his Disney appearances, Matthew "Mdot" Finley was released from the hospital Tuesday.
Finley was released from UCLA Medical Center after undergoing several surgeries for injuries he received when he lost control of his motorcycle in the Santa Monica Mountains and plummeted off a cliff.
He and friends were riding on May 26th when when the 23-year-old actor hit a rough patch in the road and slid for an unknown distance before plunging off a cliff on Mulholland Drive.
The Disney star was trying to make a turn on Mulholland Drive when he lost control of the Italian Sportsbike and went crashing down the side of the cliff.
"His bike flipped on its side, hurling Mdot and his bike, launching him over 100 feet into the base of a ravine,” a rep for the performer told the media.
Matthew "Mdot" Finley is an American R&B recording artist, songwriter, dancer, musician, actor and record producer who is currently working on his debut solo album. There are even rumors he may appear on the popular "Dancing With the Stars.Ortner said that Finley suffered multiple injuries to his face, head and legs but is "determined to get back on the dance floor," including a possible stint on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."
This upbeat message has been consistently delivered to the media and the fans of the singer/actor since the accident occurred.
"Ducati off cliff.. more surgeries 2morrow..," the star tweeted a day after the accident, "I WILL Survive!"
"I crashed hard, but the love and support from my friends, fans, and family have helped ease the pain. I love riding, almost as much as I love dancing. I'm praying to be back doing both soon. I want to thank the brave responders, firefighters, paramedics and doctors who rescued me and saved me," he said through its representative.
Interestingly, the stars first motorcycle accident came during the filming of his music video ‘I’m on it’ which featured motorcycles throughout.
But it doesn't appear neither of the accidents has scared Finley from riding.
"I love riding, almost as much as I love dancing. I'm praying to be back doing both soon," Finley has been reported as saying, "I want to thank the brave responders, firefighters, paramedics and doctors who rescued me and saved me."
