Italian Playboy Playmate just loves her motorcycles

Add another sexy celebrity who simply loves motorcycles and the men who ride them as Clutch and Chrome officially adds Playboy model Lauren Vickers to the biker-lovin’ list.

Actually it could be said that her love of motorcycle racing helped her career switch up into high gear.

Italian Playboy 2010Italian Playmate of the Year 2010, Lauren Vickers is not only the Official Grid Girl for the LCR Honda MotoGP Team, but she is also dating MotoGP star Randy DePuniet. Already a professional model Vickers caught the eye of Playboy when the men’s magazine sponsored the MotoGP team she worked with.

Traditionally, Grid Girls (also known as either Paddock umbrella girls) have been around professional motorcycle racing for many years. The name refers to the women who have been hired to hold umbrellas above racers to protect them from the sun while they wait on the grid before the race as all the competitors get into their starting positions.

But the role is also used to advertise and promote the sponsors of their race team and attract attention by wearing tight fitted clothing (often short and revealing) which sport the various logos and designs of said sponsors

Australian born and bred, the 24 year old Vickers has over 13 years of experience in the modeling industry, speaks Italian well and is currently learning French and Spanish.

Being Playmate dell'Anno (Playmate of the Year) 2010 for Playboy Italia isn’t her first time her beauty has won her recognition though. Hats off the folks down under who decided to make Lauren 2008 winner of Best Model Australia.

For riders wondering how Lauren would look on the back of their motorcycle better make sure they have some legroom. At 5’11” this sexy passenger might need a ride with some height.

Sexy Lauren Vickers is the toast of MotoGP
