“We’ve replicated the visual effect of Iron Man’s armor,” said David Pea, owner of UD Replicas, which previously released suits based on The Dark Knight and X2. “From the neck down, every single detail is form-molded leather, and has presented us with a fantastic creative challenge.”

Reportedly, each Iron Man 2 Motorcycle Suit incorporates a chest arc reactor made of highly reflective, light-sensitive material that glows when light hits it. The Iron Man 2 Motorcycle Suit also incorporates removable CE-approved body armor; gloves with built-in, antiskid Kevlar in the leather lining of the palms.

The leatherwork is finished in the candy-apple red featured in the original on-screen suit, with a translucent, pearl metallic finish. The silver accents are metallic silver chrome with a translucent finish.

Preorders have begun and UD Replicas are promising riders will resemble Marvel’s tin-plated hero by the first quarter of 2011.

As reported on Clutch and Chrome earlier, the Iron Man 2 Motorcycle Suit, along with UD Replicas’ X2 Wolverine Motorcycle Suit, will be displayed at booth 2913 during Comic-Con International in San Diego from July 21 to July 25.

“We’re putting our creative senses to work like we’ve never done before,” David Pea, owner of UD Replicas said at the beginning of the creative process for the Iron Man motorcycle suit. “We’re going to mold and shape the leather to replicate the beautiful bevels and hard angles of the Mark V suit.  We’re making the leather look like metal, and doing things we never thought would be possible.”
