Disney star rides off cliff on Ducati motorcycle

Matthew 'Mdot' FinleyAnother famous face was involved in a motorcycle mishap as Matthew "Mdot" Finley , a star of Disney's "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" had a dramatic and unexpected end to a ride.

Finley was riding with friends on his Ducati last Thursday when the 23-year-old actor hit a rough patch in the road and slid for an unknown distance before plunging off a cliff on Mulholland Drive, according to his representative, Eric Ortner.

"His bike flipped on its side, hurling Mdot and his bike, launching him over 100 feet into the base of a ravine,” a rep for the performer told E! News yesterday.

” The L.A. County Fire Department, paramedics, and responding police officers launched a heroic rescue operation, successfully recovering Matthew," the representative noted.

The Disney star was trying to make a turn on Mulholland Drive when he lost control of the Italian Sportsbike and went crashing down the side of the cliff.

Matthew 'Mdot' FinleyFinley reportedly suffered multiple compound fractures and injuries to his face and head requiring surgery and a stay in the hospital for at least the next few weeks .

But the easiest way to learn about a celebrity, motorcycle accident or not isn’t from the papers or television news, but tweets.

"Ducati off cliff.. more surgeries 2morrow..," he tweeted yesterday. "I WILL Survive!"

Matthew "Mdot" Finley is an American R&B recording artist, songwriter, dancer, musician, actor and record producer who is currently working on his debut solo album. There are even rumors he may appear on the popular "Dancing With the Stars.

According to some gossip columns, this isn’t the first accident for the young star with his first being during a recent video shoot for his new single, "I'm On It," which is ironically about riding a motorcycle.

But it doesn't appear neither of the accidents have scared Finley from riding.

"I love riding, almost as much as I love dancing. I'm praying to be back doing both soon," Finley has been reported as saying, "I want to thank the brave responders, firefighters, paramedics and doctors who rescued me and saved me."
