Celebrity politicians and singers make it a motorcycle week

It was a star-studded week in the world of motorcycles as famous faces found their way onto two-wheels in a most public manner.

It was a reunion of sorts when California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger toured the ‘Born to be wild’ exhibit on Wednesday July 28th at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. Bringing back the best moves seen since his action movies, Schwarzenegger used the library as a backdrop to sign a bill designating February 6th as Ronald Reagan Day. His guest star in the proceedings? None other than former First Lady Nancy Reagan was the special guest.

But surely the signing ceremony was just a ruse to have some more time with his own motorcycle, the 1991 Indian from “The Terminator” Schwarzenegger donated for the exhibit appearing at Ronald Reagan’s Presidential Library through November 9th.

Rumors are he whispered to the motorcycle, 'I told you I would be back.'

Well not really, but it would have made for a great movie moment.

The exhibit also features classic motorcycles such as a 1903 Harley-Davidson, 1920 Henderson, 1928 Cleveland as well as a 1948 Indian Motorcycle raced at Daytona.

What isn't shown are the ten guys it took to tear Arnold from his motorcycle after the picture was taken.

As for the famous rides, celebrity motorcycles include Steve McQueen, Joe Jonas, Dan Gurney, Keith Carradine and others. The exhibit even reaches into the world of the cinema with well-known rides from the big screen;

The 1920 Indian Scout seen in “The World’s Fastest Indian”

While the California Governor may have had passing fantasies about riding his Indian motorcycle out of the exhibit and onto the open road, life was a highway for country singer Leanne Rhimes and her boyfriend Eddie Cibrian. They were photographed leaving the legendary biker hangout Neptune’s Nest in Malibu the same day Schwarzenegger was signing his bill in Simi Valley.

It must have been a really good ride for the celebrity couple with representatives for 27-year-old country singer confirming Eddie will be moving into LeAnn’s place in the San Fernando Valley.

More pictures of the motorcycle pair can be found on the celebrity website, Just Jared.

Rhimes kept the gossip world buzzing with a tweet two days later saying “My sweets @eddiecibrian coming home from wrk to candles, Mexican food, lil tequila & Dave Matthews! Perfect night!”

Not is love a beautiful thing, it brings gifts. Being the best form of advertising, Rhimes proudly wore Harley-Davidson’s famous skull logo as the loving couple were photographed riding down the road of romance on what appears to be a Street Glide.
