Captain America to ride motorcycle onto the big screen

Its official; the country’s most patriotic superhero, Marvel’s Captain America rides an Indian motorcycle, at least according Britain’s newspaper the Daily Mail.

The newspaper published pictures from the set of the production bringing one Marvel’s most famous and certainly treasured superheroes to the big screen, Captain America. A stunt man is seen in the saddle of what appears to be a vintage Indian motorcycle and whether a real classic or dressed by the prop department, Captain America’s ride comes with machine guns and rockets.

The action motorcycle scenes for Captain America: The First Avenger were being filmed in an unnamed countryside location around London with the stuntman wearing the famous red white and blue uniform and the legendary shield slung across his back.

The movie has reportedly been in production since June. The actor playing Captain America, Chris Evans wasn’t pictured on the set used for the stunt scenes.

Helmet and all Captain America fights tyranny from the saddle

For those foggy on their comic book heroes, Captain America appeared in Marvel comics during World War 2 often depicted fighting the Axis powers. He was brought to the present day in 1964 during Marvel's 'Silver Age of Comics' with clever writing and an ice flow induced suspended animation.

The man behind the mask, Steve Rogers was a sickly young man who was enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum in order to aid the United States war effort. Comic books being what they are, Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif to fight tyranny and crime.

Pegs back, they must be the bad guys

And the producers guiding the latest version of the famous story may be inadvertently encouraging some real life confrontations.

While the America’s hero is seen on a V-Twin cruiser, some bad guys who were also photographed during the on-location filming were riding futuristic looking (for the 1940’s at least) sportbikes.

Regardless of who is good and evil, it appears it’s always safety first when trying to save or rule the world. All pictured were wearing motorcycle helmets.
