Announced late last year, the AMC six part series will follow the motorcycle adventures of actor Norman Reedus, known for his role of crossbow zombie killer Daryl on the extremely popular ‘The Walking Dead’. Each hour long episode takes viewers on a ride to explore local motorcycle culture and history, celebrating some of the best and brightest collectors, mechanics and motorcycle craftsmen around the country.
‘Ride With Norman Reedus’ will begin in a different city where Reedus and his riding companion, who could be a fellow actor, musician, friend or local chopper fanatic who shares his passion for motorcycles, will journey to a new destination. Along the way, they will stop at various locales such as custom bike shops, tattoo parlors, collector’s warehouses, or a roadside smokehouse with plenty of time for unplanned detours and tire changes.
The series promises to showcase different types of motorcycles each week including vintage, minis and cruisers. Speaking of vintage, the very first episode kicks the mini-season off with a motorcycle legend.
None other than Peter Fonda will co-star in the first episode as he and Reedus ride down to the Florida Keys. Fonda who appeared with Reedus in ‘The Boondock Saints II’ will show off his favorite spots along the way.
Clutch and Chrome has learned of two more guests, both of which indicate this won’t be a typical motorcycle television show.
One choice is curious as she doesn’t reportedly ride, but prefers to be a passenger. In early February singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey was spotted filming with Reedus at The Great Frog in West Hollywood. The Great Frog is known for hand-crafting rock n roll jewelry in London since 1972.

Another guest appearance will come from actor Paul Ruebens who’s been seen in Reno 911!, 30 Rock, Dirt, Pushing Daisies, The Blacklist and Gotham but is probably best known for the CBS Saturday-morning children's program Pee-wee's Playhouse.
The show will follow Reedus as he meets Ruebens in Austin Texas and the two ride down to San Antonio.
“Hopefully Paul will be waiting for me at the Alamo with a Pee-wee Herman bike so we can ride around,” Reedus told The Hollywood Reporter.
It appears Reedus is splitting his time between filming for ‘Ride With Norman Reedus’ and ‘The Walking Dead' where he will reportedly hang out on the set even if he’s not in the scene being filmed. With the production of ‘Ride With Norman Reedus’ looking for quality over quantity, the 47 year old actor has time to do just that.
“We spread them out so that we can hit all these different locations and not be rushed and have a really good time,“ Reedus explained to reporters about the breaks between filming each episode of ‘Ride with Norman Reedus’. “And it’s really thought out — where we’re going and who we’re meeting and the rides that we’re taking. So we spread them out so that we can do the best job possible.”
And while fans of Norman Reedus will enjoy the title of the show, ‘Ride With Norman Reedus’ the Walking Dead actor, not so much.
"We are still figuring it out. I’d like to keep my name off of it and just have it be Ride, but there seems to be a lot of projects called 'Ride,' " he said.
