Aprilia's Factory Works project perfect for Track Day

DEC 18, 2015 - The term ‘Track Day’ may leave some riders guessing at what it means while the phrase makes others drift off to dreams of leaning tightly into a raceway corner, pushing their motorcycle to its limits.

For the latter, Aprilia has an announcement which may have many searching the corners of their life looking for whatever spare cash can be found.

Coming from Aprilia Racing, the Racing Division that has not only enjoyed Noale-based Manufacturer 54 world titles as well as introducing the "Factory Works" program at EICMA 2015 in November, the project gives Track Day fans another choice for those moments of unbridled performance.

This program makes the same technology developed for the world champion bike available to anyone who wants to compete in factory derivative championships or who simply wants to have an RSV4 with optimized performance for track use.

The Aprilia Racing “Factory Works” bikes will be developed and made available to customers in accordance with the regulations of the Superstock and Superbike championships in the various countries, with different chassis preparation, electronic and engine levels which, at the top configuration as seen below, exceeds the threshold of 230 HP.

All of the versions begin with the already exceptional technical base of the Aprilia RSV4 RR.

In usual Aprilia Racing tradition, each component has been optimized for maximum performance whilst maintaining a high overall balance and a high level of reliability. This is why the program promises every Aprilia “Factory Works” bike is one that will cut a fine figure at any level of competition, but it is also an “attainable” dream for enthusiasts looking for an extraordinary track vehicle with the certainty that nothing can bring you closer to the sensations that a World Superbike champion feels.
