More Harley's Rumble into EagleRider's Rental Fleet

Ever noticed the many Indian Motorcycles featured in Eaglerider ads promoting motorcycle rental, travel and tour company? So did Harley-Davidson and it appears their doing something about it.

Yesterday, Harley-Davidson Motor Company announced an exclusive alliance with EagleRider, considered the world's largest motorcycle rental, travel and tour company. Motorcycle enthusiasts and travelers will now be able to rent and tour on the most current Harley-Davidson Touring and Cruiser motorcycles at EagleRider locations around the country.

Customers will also benefit from an expanded network of EagleRider pick-up and drop-off points, as many of them will now be located in Harley-Davidson dealerships across the country.  For the first time, customers nationwide will be able to pick up a motorcycle near their home, take their dream trip, and drop off the same motorcycle near their destination, something that was not possible except in a few locations.

“This strategic deal with EagleRider supports our efforts to grow ridership by making it easier for more riders to throw a leg over and experience the thrill of riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle across our great country,” said Harley-Davidson Vice President and Managing Director U.S. Mike Kennedy. “EagleRider’s advanced nationwide reservation system, proven customer service and extensive travel industry expertise will allow our 700 U.S. dealer locations to seamlessly deliver premium motorcycle rental, travel and tour experiences.”

Founded in 1992 by Chris McIntyre and Jeff Brown with four Harley-Davidson motorcycles in a Los Angeles garage, EagleRider has grown to serve more than 100,000 riders annually through motorcycle rental and touring experiences across the U.S.

“It’s a dream of millions of riders across the world to explore America in the most authentic way possible, on an iconic Harley-Davidson motorcycle,” said McIntyre. “For the past 25 years, we’ve seen riders return from their trips completely transformed by finding freedom of the open road to be the ultimate adventure vacation.”

Riders who’ve rented a motorcycle from Eaglerider in the past, or even listened to Clutch and Chrome’s podcast with the riding company may know Harley’s were available for rent. It appears this agreement means there will be more of them and more choices. Through the alliance, EagleRider will exclusively offer current model year Harley-Davidson motorcycle fleets in the Touring and Large Cruiser motorcycle segments, serviced by Harley-Davidson-trained technicians and equipped with Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Parts & Accessories.  Harley-Davidson will exclusively work with EagleRider to provide rental, travel and tour experiences from its U.S dealership network.
