Graphic police video captures football player's motorcycle accident
A shocking police video of a truck crashing into a motorcycle at an intersection in Iowa City, Iowa is burning up cyberspace.
Miraculously, after being thrown from his motorcycle and spinning through the air, the rider manages to lift himself off the ground and walk away from the accident.
On Monday, University of Iowa football player Josh Koeppel (pictured right) was riding his sportsbike through an intersection when a truck turns into his path, striking the motorcycle head-on. Only wearing a sweatshirt and shorts, Koeppel is seen flipping several times in the air before landing on his side, seen on a video recorded by the dashboard camera of an Iowa City police car.
The force of the collision apparently rips Koeppel's shoe off his right foot.
The football player, who has already made an appearance at the Orange Bowl, quickly jumps up as a fellow rider is seen coming to Koeppel’s assistance. The driver of the Ford F-150 is also walks up to the University of Iowa offensive lineman.
The downed biker reportedly spoke to police about the incident before being taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
For his part in the life-threatening drama, the truck driver was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn.
Koeppel, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, is expected to miss this Saturday’s home opener against Eastern Illinois, amazingly only suffering from scrapes and bruises.

So when you're blinded by the sun you just to go for it and cross your fingers? If so I hope it's a semi and not a motorcycle...
