Michelin's New Next Generation Motorcycle Road Tire

Motorcycle enthusiasts have long enjoyed technology developed for professional racing in their everyday rides. Michelin continues its practice of doing the same in their latest tires.

The Michelin Power RS, first introduced at the Michelin Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, combines revolutionary levels of dry-weather grip, agility, stability and superior handling performance. The model is the newest tire in Michelin North America’s line-up of high performance motorcycle tires.

Michelin feels its Power RS stands out as the sport motorcycle road tire market's new benchmark and expects ‘the most discerning riders’ to use it for their latest adventures in leaning. The tire's high level of performance comes from a combination of Michelin's longstanding expertise, its experience of top-flight racing and its demonstrated history of innovation.

Technically speaking, the combination of new rubber compounds, some of which are derived from racing, and a new casing design, has resulted in incomparable grip on dry roads and a unique experience for the rider.

The innovative rear tire features a patented construction which benefits from all new Michelin Adaptive Casing Technology (ACT+) for impeccable straight-line and cornering stability.

The tire will be available in 11 different sizes and will cover a broad spectrum of motorcycles, from 250cc bikes to large displacement sport bikes. The tire sizes initially available when the Michelin Power RS is released in January 2017 are seen below.
