More Motus Dealerships - More Motus Opportunties

A flurry of activity around the Motus motorcycle brand shows manufacturers are just as busy getting ready for the upcoming riding season as bikers are.

With five new dealerships opening up around the United States, a Spring sale on accessories and appearances at smaller events, Motus is certainly laying down the promotional miles.

Those in the riding world who feel the motorcycle industry is nothing but large corporations considering international markets should give a welcomed nod to Motus. An American motorcycle manufacturer based in Birmingham, Alabama is considered the maker of America’s only premium brand of sport-touring motorcycles and proprietary V4 engines.

Born out of a recession and developed with some of America’s most sophisticated engineering partners, Motus began shipping the world’s fastest production pushrod motorcycles to its network of US dealers in 2015. Motus also supplies its turn-key American V4 Baby Block powertrain to other builders and OEMs around the world for marine, off-road, and other powersports applications.

Both models in the Motus line up, MST and MSTR, use the proprietary six-speed 1650cc liquid-cooled V4, 180 bhp engine that kicks out 126 ft.lbs. of torque. The American manufacturer promises that massive torque is delivered across a wide, smooth power band, and on a recent ride, famous biker Jay Leno agrees with them.

“Every gear you get instant pull the minute you open that throttle,” Leno said while riding a Motus last summer during an episode of Jay Lenos Garage. “I love the torque, no matter what gear you’re in you’ve got all kind of power. There’s no real need to downshift.”

The new dealerships take the total number to twenty-two spread over eighteen states, the details of which can be found here.

As far as finding Motus at local events, their next scheduled appearance is right around the corner with Caffeine and Octane at Jekyll Island in Georgia on March 17th. Considered by organizers as the premier cars and coffee event of the year, ‘Caffeine and Octane’ features three days of events aimed at car enthusiasts with obviously some American-made motorcycles thrown in.

Not only will Motus host a ride for during the event, the Forged Invitational features top custom motorcycle builders from around the country and their hand-built forged metal machines with the following bike builders have been confirmed; Revival Cycles, Analog Motorcycles, Bryan Heidt, Benderwerks, Loaded Gun Customs, Bedlam Werks, GT-Moto, Classified Moto, Pop's Garage, Zeke Dezeeuw, Tim Harney Motorcycles, John Green, Rickey Gadson, Chuck Beck, Brew Bikes, LC Fabrications and Jesse Spade.

The American motorcycle manufacturer has caught the attention of some famous bikers. Aside from being featured on Jay Leno’s Garage, they were featured on the first season of AMC’s ‘Ride with Norman Reedus’ as the actor known for playing zombie-killing Daryl on ‘The Walking Dead’ rode with Jason Paul Michaels around Georgia.
