What is a Reciprocal Link and
how do I add it?
re-cip-ro-cal
adjective - consisting of or functioning as a return in kind.
It's standard
practice in cyberspace to promote the websites featuring you and
yours, and it's usually done in the form of a Reciprocal Link.
A reciprocal link is a hyperlink in the form of a banner or graphic
to a site that carries a similar link to your own site. Or as in the
case of Clutch and Chrome, featuring your Motorcycle Club, Blog or
event.
A reciprocal link is a
commitment. This link basically says "The site at the other end
of this link feels that my site is important enough to link to, and
I feel that their site is important enough that I am willing to let
visitors leave my site via this link."
We're proud to
feature you on our site and all we ask is you show the same
brotherhood and pride. It'll let any visitors to your blog know
about this new, upcoming and great resource on the internet for
bikers. Clutch and Chrome!
If you've had your website or
blog for
any amount of time, adding a reciprocal link isn't new. As you know, it's
easy to do and won't affect the performance of your blog in anyway.
This is how the graphic will
appear;

If you feel comfortable putting
code into your existing html, copy and paste, inserting the
following code wherever you'd like the graphic to appear on your
webpage. That's it!
Simply copy and paste the following
code, inserting it wherever you'd like the graphic to appear on your
blog. That's it! You don't even have to store the graphic on your
blog, we'll host it (or keep it) here on ours.
If you created your webpage with
Frontpage or
Dreamweaver
and don't want to
mess with html, simply right click the above graphic, pasting it
where you want the image to appear. The most important step
(which actually makes it a working link) right click on the
pasted image, select 'insert hyperlink'
and either copy or
type this address in the hyperlink field;
http://www.clutchandchrome.com
