Universal Japanese Motorcycle. Coined
in the 1970 to describe the Japanese motorcycle with its
standard-style design and four-cylinder engine.
Unsprung Weight
Considered the weight of every part of the motorcycle
located between the road and suspension.
Up-Sweeps
The term for a style of exhaust angled to run up and along
the side of the bike.
Urban Tumbleweed
Nickname for the plastic grocery bags floating on the road
either flying up onto a hot exhaust or into your face.
V
V-Four
A four cylinder motorcycle engine with the cylinders
arranged in a V shape configuration, with two cylinders on
either side.
V-Twin
A 2 cylinder motorcycle engine with the cylinders
arranged in a V shape configuration.
Valanced
Refers to the larger sweeping fenders.
Valve
A device that regulates the passage of fuel through into
an engine cylinder.
Valve Guide
Metal tubes which house the valves.
Valve Train
The system of valves that lets the fuel charges in and the
exhaust gases out.

Vehicle Identification Number
VMC
Veterans Motorcycle Club.
As established by Renegade of the
Warrior Brotherhood Veterans
Motorcycle Club (WBVMC). This club closed as of
December 2007. Originally formed to provide a fraternal organization for qualified military veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The membership of the organization will be comprised entirely of veterans who have served HONORABLY. The organization is established to provide a strong sense of pride and mutual support for Veterans who have served their country. The organization will also promote a positive image of military Veterans as well as motorcyclists.

A biker who prefers to waz a bike instead of riding it.
Weekend Warrior
A person who rides more for the image rather than the passion.

When a rider performs his own maintenance and repair.
