Tachometer
An instrument used to measure revolutions per minute (RPM).

Tail Gunner
The last rider in a group.

Tall
A term for the high final drive gear ratio

Tats
Slang for Tattoos

T-Bone
When a motorcycle crashes into the side of a four wheeled vehicle.

T-CLOCK
Motorcycle Safety Foundation anagram for the pre-ride inspection
Tires
Controls
Lights
Oils
Chassis
Kickstand

The Motor Company
Nickname for Harley-Davidson.

The Double
Also referred to as the 'Double Ton' slang for riding at 200 mph.

The Ton
Slang for riding at 100MPH

Throttle
The control that adjusts the the engine's power regulating the flow of fuel to the engine.

Thumper
A single cylinder motorcycle

Top End
The upper part of the engine consisting of cylinders, pistons, valve gear and the induction system.

Topping Out
Term for the motorcycle's suspension extending to its limit. the opposite of bottoming out.

Too Late Light
Nickname for the Oil Pressure Warning Light.

Toos
Slang for Tattoos

Torque
Essentially a measurement of how quickly a motorcycle can achieve its top speed.

Tourer
A classification of motorcycle which is designed for long distance riding, typically a heavier bike with hard luggage and comfortable seating arrangements.
Traction
A tires ability to grip the road.

Trailer Boy
A rider who transports their motorcycle longs distances instead of riding it there.

Trailer Queen
Nickname for a collectible motorcycle taken to events on a trailer, rolled on and off to its display location.

Transmission
The system of gears and chains by which power is transmitted from the engine to the driving wheel.

Travel
The distance that the suspension (forks and shocks) move when the motorcycle rides over bumps.

Trike
A three-wheeled motorcycle.

Triple
A three cylinder inline motorcycle engine.

Triple Trees
Also referred to as Triple Clamps. - The two pieces that attach the bike's front end to the frame.

True Blue
A long distance rider

Trumpet
Nickname for a Triumph motorcycle.

T-Shirt Biker
A person who has all the riding apparel but no motorcycle.

Tune up
When a senior club member gives advice to a junior club member.

Tuppermobile
Nickname given to a motorcycle with plastic arm rests for passengers.

Twenty Twenty
Derogatory nickname for A Harley rider, taken from$20,000 for the Harley and another $20,000 for a pickup to tow it with.

Twingle
A vertical twin engine where both pistons move up and down together.
Twisties
Section of road with  many curves.

Two Into One
An exhaust system where the two header pipe joins into one pipe.

Two Stroke Engine
An engine whose power cycle consists of two movements or strokes.

Two-up
A term for carrying a passenger on your motorcycle.
