ECM
Electronic Control Module. The computer built into modern motorcycles to control different performance processes such as ignition and timing.

EFI
Electronic Fuel Injection. Electronic device to automate the motorcycles fuel flow, replacing the manual choke.

Endo
Stopping a motorcycle abruptly lifting the rear wheel off the ground.

Enduro
A classification of motorcycle which includes motocross bikes equipped for driving on the roads as well.

Engine Guards
Metal tubes bolted to the motorcycle's frame designed to protect the engine from damage during an accident.

Ergonomics
The science used to design devices and systems to conform to the human body which is applied considerably in creating new models of motorcycles.

Evo
Nickname for the Evolution® Harley Davidson’s V-Twin which started production in 1984 and was credited for bringing the company back to popularity.

Excessive 11
Also known as Xcess 11. The SX1100, a 1100 cc 4 cylinder street bike.

Exhaust System
The system that channels the flow of gases produced by the power making process of a motorcycle engine.
