Sound deadening material built inside a muffler to reduce the

Bagger
A motorcycle equipped with saddlebags and other similar
touring accessories.
Ballistic Nylon
A specific nylon developed for use in flak jackets but was later
replaced by Kevlar. If used by a motorcycle apparel company the
material tends tear and doesn’t meet the minimum safety
standards.

Hopper Bike
Beautifully designed motorcycles used by ‘weekend warriors’ to
take small local rides. Just as well, since they’re usually not
very comfortable for longer rides.
Bark-o-lounger
Nickname given to the Honda Gold Wing for its comfortable smooth
ride.

When a bike has been left unused long enough to suffer from a
dead battery, seized mechanical parts and fluids chemically
broken down.

Nickname for
folks who dress in riding gear all the time, wear nothing but
branded apparel but rarely ride, even if they own a motorcycle
at all. Also called a poser.
Harley-Davidson is mostly associated with this
reference, but the Ducati brand is making it's
appearance on wannabe bikers everywhere.

Bob
To shortening a bike's appearance by cutting down the size of
its fenders. The type of customizing done before choppers. The
name came from the rear fender being cut down to a minimum as
well as stripping the rest of the bike.
Bobbers
A motorcycle that’s been ‘bobbed’.
Boneyard
Salvage yard for used bikes & parts.
Bottom end
The bottom part of a
motorcycle engine where parts such as the crankshaft and
transmission is located.
Bottoming
When a suspension device is completely compressed and is also
referred to as 'bottoming out'.
Boxer
The nickname for a two-cylinder engine that has the pistons
opposing each other which resembles fists thrusting back and
forth.

Slang term for a helmet.

Broke Urban Biker
BUBF
Butt Ugly But Fast,
a name given to a motorcycle that was designed more for
performance than speed.
Buckhorns
A style of handlebar that comes up higher and sweeps towards the
rider, a popular
style from the 1960's and 1970's and can still be seen to this
day.
Burnout
The action of spinning the rear wheel while holding the front
brake causing the the back tires rubber to heat up, giving off a
burning smell. See also Blackie.
Bullneck
Nickname given to the headlight first featured on the 1957
Harley Davidson 1200 Duo Glide. It was given because it
stretched from the headlight to the handle bars.
