Its three days of two-wheeled history and motorcycle
performance in Birmingham, Alabama this weekend.
Barber Motorsports Park is having its 4th Annual Barber
Vintage Festival during the weekend of October 17-19,
highlighting the American Historic Racing Association (AHRMA)
which features vintage motorcycle racing and marks their
last race of the 2008 season.
The Barber Vintage Festival will also host a variety of
events for spectators to enjoy including a swap meet,
vintage demos, club gatherings, Rhett Rotten's "Wall of Death", Aeroshell Acrobatic Team
and other attractions.
Visitors will also have a rare chance to see and hear the
exotic motorcycles from the Barber Vintage Motorsports
Museum which is home to one of the largest vintage and
modern motorcycle collections in the world.
The Ducati sponsored "Motorcycles by Moonlight" dinner
benefiting the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum will be
held on Friday, October 17 at 6pm with Ducati racing legend Cook
Neilson as the guest of honor.
On March 11, 1977 racer Cook Neilson, with the aid of ace
mechanic Phil Schilling, celebrated a monumental victory in
the AMA Superbike race at the legendary Daytona Speedway.
The first win for Ducati at Daytona was a significant event
in Ducati's American history.
