More charges
have been filed against three members of a Florida motorcycle
stunt team for
stealing bikes and selling
stolen parts online.
The website
of the motorcycle stunt team,
Stunt 904 lists six
members, but only three have been charged;
Curtis Gill, 27,
Ross Jackson, 25 and
Dustin Richards, 24,
were already in
police custody after being arrested earlier this week for
grand theft auto. Further charges of operating a chop
shop were filed.
More details about the alleged crimes are being revealed by
officials. The Clay County Sheriff's Office says the men
stole nearly 20 motorcycles in Duval and Clay Counties,
usually taking them from apartment complex parking lots.
Authorities
seized 140 pieces of evidence this week, including
motorcycle parts and trailers. They believe the thefts have
been going on since July and there may be several victims
and more possible suspects.
Investigators caught onto the thefts after a Clay County man
saw his stolen bike parts on eBay. |
