With no
shortage of fun in the sun, the
Myrtle Beach Motorcycle Rally
kicks off on May 9th.
The event
will feature five days of poker runs, live music in bars as
well as the local House of Blues and a controversial move by
Harley-Davidson.
The reasons
for the move have both official as well as unofficial
versions, but either way Harley-Davidsons presence at the
rally will be at the Hard Rock Park on U.S. 501, instead of
at Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
As of last
week, 355 vendors were registered for the Myrtle Beach Rally
which will end on May 18th with the event spanning the
entire length of the Grand Strand up to Barefoot Landing in
North Myrtle Beach.
The annual
spring motorcycle event draws 300,000 people to the area and
the Atlantic Beach Bikefest, which follows on May 23-26
brings in more than 200,000. |
