Motorcycle billboard advertising upsets some Canadians

Some motorcycle advertising is testing the Canadian reputation of being nice, with Harley-Davidson's sense of humor on it's recent billboards upsetting officials in Canada.

City officials in Quebec are upset with a billboard advertising campaign by the Milwaukee motorcycle manufacturer that suggests riding to a local American Indian community to buy illegal cigarettes and then taking a road trip to Toronto. The Harley-Davidson refers to the residents of Toronto as "square heads" on the billboard.

The campaign which spans 85 billboards have garnered reactions from the mayor of St-Eustache, located outside the city of Montreal. Claude Carignan wants the local billboard which is located on town property taken down.
