Nurse, rocker and motorcycle lover on American Idol tonight
By the Staff of Clutch and Chrome
February 27th, 2008

Amanda Overmyer, the American Idol contestant who's nearly as famous for riding her black Sportster as she is for that Joplin-sounding voice appears tonight  as the ladies take the stage.

Overmyer who last sang 'Please Don't Go' found herself in the bottom three during the following results show. She will fight for another round over 90 minutes of female performances tonight on Fox.

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Siezak said, ''Rock & roll nurse'' delivered a gin-soaked take on ''Baby Please Don't Go,'' establishing herself as the antidote to the scads of Disney-esque teens in this year's top 20. Still, that results-show fake-out suggesting she might be in the bottom three was scary, and questions remain about the depth of her vocal talent."

Clutch and Chrome will publish a review of her performance as well as the number to call as soon as she leaves the stage tonight.
