Step-by-step instructions for
Submitting an event to
Clutch and Chrome
Here
are some tips and explanations to help you submit your event
correctly. We'd recommend you look at some of the events all
ready listed to get an idea of how to best complete the
different fields.
-
Are you the event organizer/Sponsor?
This is simply to help us monitor who's adding events to our
database.
-
Which State is the event/Bike Night in?
Uh, pretty straightforward.
-
Which Region.
Our
database divides each State into four further regions. For
example, Dallas would be in the Northeast part of
Texas and Miami is in the Southeast of Florida.
The only states that are too small to apply this too are Connecticut, DC, Hawaii, Kansas, Maryland,
Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode
Island, Vermont and Virginia. If your event is in one of
these twelve States, chose 'none'.
4. What city is the event in?
Please type out the name of the city in full. No
abbreviations. Just the city, we have other places for you to
type in the address of the event.
5. When does the event take place?
Chose the month the event takes place in. For Bike Night or
other ongoing events a separate submission must be made for
each month the event is taking place.
6. What's the exact date of the event?
If you're submitting an event taking place over several days,
use this field for the start date the event description
further down for start and end dates.
7.
Name of the event/Bike Night?
What the event is commonly known as. The list is sorted by
date rather than alphabetically.
8. Describe the event.
You only have 72 characters in this field so short sweet and
informative should be the focus. Since the name and address of
the event is included elsewhere don't include them again. If
the event has special hours, entrance fee's or unusual
contests this is where you would put it.
9. What's the address of the event/bike night?
Please only put the address the mailman would use to find the
event. Street address, City and zip code. Many people will use
mapping programs to get directions and they'll need all this
info to do it. If you need to put directions in, they should
go into the event description (number 8).
10.
Who is the sponsor/organizer of the event?
Include both if they happen to be two different parties.
11.
Does the event have a web address? If so type it in here.
We'll be more than happy to link to a website promoting the
event, just ensure the full address is included.
